  • Marva Schomburg Kerwin (she/her)

    Marva is a people and culture expert who has over 15 years of experience creating and implementing processes that center the whole human within various industries including public relations, media and technology.

    Marva’s goal is to partner with and support businesses looking to make the greatest impact by protecting their most valuable resources - their people.

    Marva is the Great Grandaughter of historian Arturo Alfonso Schomburg, also known as the Librarian of the Harlem Renaissance, and she learns something new every day about the great accomplishments Arturo made to the African diaspora.

  • Kate Walls, PhD (she/her)

    Kate is an experienced communications specialist and progressive policy adviser. She began her career in academia, writing and researching about storytelling as a device to explore social and cultural trauma.

    Kate is driven by the idea that we have the tools to build a better world right now, it’s about gathering the people power and will to make it reality.

    She loves community organizing, rugby, and baking with her daughters.

  • Saruh Lacoff (they/she)

    Saruh is an anti-racism organizer with years of experience facilitating educational and self-reflection workshops.

    Saruh believes that in order to dismantle white supremacy and create equity, white people must examine ourselves and the way that white supremacy proliferates through us.

    They are also a talented artist and musician. Saruh once traveled cross country with a circus in a bio-fueled bus.

  • Rokshana Ali (she/her)

    Rokshana is an accomplished community builder and organizer. She holds an M.S in Disability Services and has years of experience as a higher ed professional at CUNY.

    Rokshana’s expertise as an organizer began in the NYC public school system. Since then, she has been formative in creating organizations to build people power in under served communities.

    She was born in England, raised in NYC, and believes that Queens is the future.

 Wild Plum trees signify perseverance and the ability to thrive during times of adversity. This symbolism resonates within us.

We know that for people to thrive in any space, a healthy culture must be intentional and center liberation and antiracism work.
